SO LONG 2018

2018 was real.⠀
Like real real.⠀
The lessons of which I'm still distilling. ⠀
Don't have enough words for it, but I have some. ⠀
Let's face it, I always have some words.⠀
⠀ ⠀
Here's what I can say:⠀
You're not required to look on the bright side.⠀
Or derive deep understanding out of struggle.⠀
Some things simply must be endured.⠀
But you can and you will.⠀
⠀ ⠀
I highly recommended you keep your sense of humor and laugh as often as possible at all the things about yourself you think are weak or bad or strange or gross.⠀
And know this, your vulnerability is your super power. ⠀
If you let it, it will be the super conductor of limitless compassion and deep human connection.⠀
⠀ ⠀
Never lose sight of your essential human-ness. ⠀
It will humble you and free you from the crushing burden of grasping for perfection. ⠀
There's so much about you that is already beautiful and whole.⠀
⠀ ⠀
You are inherently worthy. ⠀
You don't have to crawl on your knees to kneel at the altar. ⠀
You don't have to prostrate 108 times before sunrise. ⠀
If you want to, go for it.⠀
But it's not mandatory to make you worthy of great spiritual depth. ⠀
Which means you can show up.⠀
Just as you are...the freaking messy, beautiful miracle that is you.⠀
⠀ ⠀
And go outside as often as possible.⠀
It all makes so much more sense out there.⠀
⠀ ⠀
Love you, mean it. ⠀
